BUMC to gather for season joy
Both women and men who are interested in the mission emphasis of United Methodist Women are invited to share in the joys of the season when the Beach Unit of United Methodist Women gathers in the Church’s Fellowship Hall, 155 Bay Road, Ft. Myers Beach (behind the Library) at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2.
All those attending are asked to bring an unwrapped toy, new clothing, or a love offering, which will help local needs. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to share in the holiday giving, please drop off your contribution at the church.
A short business meeting, for the purpose of installing the new officers for 2011, will be held, followed by a presentation from Tina Parsons, Director of Brightest Horizons, along with music sung by children from that organization.
Following the program all will enjoy food and fellowship. Ham and rolls will be provided. Everyone attending is asked to bring a salad or favorite dish to share. Although reservations are not necessary, please make an effort to let the church know if you are attending. There will be a sign up sheet in the lobby.
Since this is a special holiday occasion and we will be honored with the children from Brightest Horizons, we hope you will attend. Please feel free to bring a guest so that we may share our mission program with others.
