Jan Sparkman with her novels and short stories
On Nov. 3, Bay Oaks Social Seniors met at Chapel by the Sea for their monthly Pot Luck Luncheon. After lunch, published author Jan Sparkman made a presentation describing the creative process of writing.
Sparkman told the group about techniques that she uses to inspire her writing and that we also might find useful if we wanted to write creatively ourselves. Jan stressed the importance of reading to enrich her writing and of listening attentively to whatever is going on around her.
