Beach Lions induct new members
Fort Myers Beach Lions inducted 5 new members at their most recent meeting: Bill Floyd; Carol Heath; Nick Kastan; Linda Floyd; and Sheila Kelley. Five other new, in process and transferring members have also recently joined the Beach Lions.
The Beach Lions recently held the first annual Fort Myers Beach Open Putt Putt Tournament at Jungle Golf. The event raised about $600 to fund the Beach Lions Eye care Assistance Fund for students at the Beach Elementary School in need. Event Chairman Jack Scott noted, “This fund is in response to the local community needs and requests. It is our hope that each year this fund will help those local kids needing eye care to achieve more in school.”
