Mack applauds Florida judge’s ruling to allow suit against Obamacare to proceed
Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) issued the following statement today regarding news reports that a federal judge in Florida will allow parts of a multi-state lawsuit to overturn ObamaCare to proceed.
Mack, who was one of the first Members of Congress to introduce legislation to repeal ObamaCare, said:
“This is great news for all those who believe in freedom and the Constitution. ObamaCare is unconstitutional at its very core. No where in the U.S. Constitution does it state that the government can force individuals to purchase something like health insurance.
“While this disastrous law should never have passed Congress in the first place, by allowing this lawsuit to proceed, the American people can make their strong case that ObamaCare is unconstitutional and an affront to individual freedom.”
