Former FMB official withdraws from job offer
Former Fort Myers Beach town manager Scott Janke recently withdrew his name for the city manager position at Flagler Beach citing personal reasons, according to an email he sent to the city commissioners. This news came one day after he was reported to be the leading candidate for the position.
Janke offered the withdrawal when the commission discovered he was not only married to an adult-film star but wasrumored of being in one of the movies with her. He has been separated from his wife, Annabela Mote Janke, since January. She performs in adult films under the name Jazella Moore.
In the email, Janke wrotehis alleged movie involvement wasn’t true. In his concluding remarks, he wrote, “I was looking forward to working with you and becoming a member of the beach community …. but I don’t want to put Flagler Beach through any further embarrassment.”
Janke lost his Fort Myers Beach job in July 2009 when the town council unanimously voted to fire him. That is when they learned about his wife’s adult-film star profession.
Before working in Fort Myers Beach, Janke worked for the City of Marathon in the Keys and various local governments throughout Alaska since 1989.
