Cape Beach advisory rescinded
On Aug. 25, 2010, we issued a health advisory for Cape Coral Yacht Club Beach because tests indicated that the beach water quality did not meet the criteria for enterococcus bacteria recommended by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Tests completed on Sept. 9, 2010, indicate that the concentration of bacteria has returned to normal.
* We rescind the health advisory for Cape Coral Yacht Club Beach. The beach is considered safe for swimming with respect to bacteria.
* We will continue monitoring beach water quality throughout Lee County.
