Beach school hosts writer/illustrator team
Hank and Jan Racer, an award winning writer/illustrator team, will be presenting to the students of Beach Elementary School on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
The Racers will spend time with every grade level talking about reading, writing, imagination and art. Hank will give examples of how stories are constructed while Jan will show them her art and how it was created.
Hank is the author of “Marky The Barking Bullfrog” and the River Rat series.His latest book, “The River Rats – Riddle Me A Mystery” was just released in June 2010.
Jan illustrated “Marky The Barking Bullfrog” and is co-authoring their next book “What’s In Grandma’s Attic,” which they are planning for spring 2011.
Hank and Jan Racer have done more than 400 presentations to more than 50,000 students and are looking forward to meeting the students at Beach Elementary.
Immediately after the presentations, the Racers will be doing a book signing at Annette’s Book Nook in Santini Marina Plaza.The couple will be there from the end of school until 5 p.m.
