Beach chamber seeks volunteers
The Greater Fort Myers Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers for the upcoming 24th annual American SandSculpting Championship Festival during the second week in November. The event is the largest venue presented by the local chamber for the 2010 year.
The opportunities for volunteering are vast and assistance in getting your name and venue requests and dates for your volunteer services will assist in the planning of the event.
For most positions, there will be two shifts per day per site.
The dates and venues for the SandSculpting event are as follows:
– Nov. 10 and 11 – Event set-up
– Nov. 11 – Vendor set-up (golf carts)
– Nov. 12 – Vendor set-up (golf carts)
– Nov. 14 – Vendor break down (golf carts)
– Nov. 12-14 – Ticket sales and wrist bands
– Nov. 12-14 – T-shirt sales
– Nov. 12-14 – Beer/soda/water sales
– Nov. 12-14 – Golf cart service (ice and trash)
– Nov. 12-14 – Parking service (Lover’s Key)
– Nov. 15 – Event tear down
– Nov. 12-14 – volunteer/vendor services
– Nov. 12-14 – chamber booth
