Fire district holds blood drive Friday
The Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District is teaming up with Lee Memorial Health Systems to hold a blood drive next Friday, Aug. 27. The local fire district will be providing an opportunity for the community to give blood from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Station 31 at 3043 Estero Blvd. The blood mobile will be set up right behind the bay doors of the Fire Station.
All donors will receive a “Guns-N-Hoses” t-shirt and Dairy Queen coupon.
In order to combat summer blood shortages, law enforcement and fire fighters have joined forces to encourage the community to come out and donate blood. The drive is an opportunity to vote for your favorite Lee County agency which competes for bragging rights for collecting the most blood this summer.
The Lee Memorial Blood Center will provides the blood mobile.
The Beach Fire District would like to thank everyone for taking time to donate to this worthy cause.
