The Fort Myers Miracle, a single A minor league team of the Minnesota Twins, is approaching the end of the season at the beginning of September.
Here are a few events -many which are benefits- that may take you out to the 7:05 p.m. ball games and beyond. :
– Aug. 18: Books & Bats Night – Presented by Wendy’s, the Miracle celebrates its summer reading program. Children age 12 and under have been encouraged to read books on their summer vacation and earn a Wendy’s Jr. Frosty and Miracle game tickets. Get your book marks at any participating Wendy’s, any Lee County Public Library or the Miracle office.
– Aug. 20: Ed Randall’s Bat for Cure Night – The Miracle bring attention to both the need and ease of early detection of prostrate cancer.
– Aug. 21: Breast Cancer Awareness Night – Presented by 21st Century Oncology, the Miracle will be in unique jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game to benefit Partners for Breast Cancer Care.
– Aug. 28: Fan Appreciation Night – Presented by Beasley Broadcasting, Miracle game attendees will be treated to a post-game fireworks display.

– Aug. 9-11: Miracle Baseball Youth Camp I – This camp is for ages 9-12 and presented by Longhorn Steakhouse and Rock Star Seedz. Sign your children up for the three-day camp. It features professional instruction in the fundamentals of baseball from Miracle players and the coaching staff. Call the Miracle office at 768-4210 for more information or to reserve your spot.
– Aug. 15: Miracle Charity Golf Classic – Presented by Snead Cataract, the 11th annual golf classic benefits the Storm Eye Institute and is held at the Pelican Preserve Golf Club. Assemble a golf team and call the Miracle office today to reserve your spot. Help raise money for a good cause or sponsor a autographed hole sign for a team.
