Soccer registration to begin on Beach
Officials for the Fort Myers Beach Fall Soccer Association have begun to prepare for the fall soccer season by announcing dates for registration. The club soccer season is expected to begin the same week school starts.
Registration will be available at the baseball concession stand at Bay Oaks Recreational Campus on the following days: Friday, July 30, from 4 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, July 31, from 9 to 11 a.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 14, from noon to 2 p.m.
Players must be between the ages of 4 and 17 as of July 31, 2010. The cost for the first child is $60 with each additional child being $50 per head. Registration fee includes uniform with socks and a season of fun-filled soccer.
Coaches are still needed and are encouraged to come to the registration to sign up to coach.
Sponsors are needed at a rate of $300 per team. Officials will also be collecting sponsorship in lesser amounts for the year-end party, so if someone wants to sponsor less money, they can sponsor for the year-end party or they may sponsor a player. Sponsors will be added to the website.
During the registration, if the parent is attending in person, please bring a small (1×1) photo of the player with player’s name on back of photo for the back of the player pass along with the players birth certificate.
The high school age players are getting their teams together now as their season begins and ends sooner than the regular club play.
All players need a soccer ball, soccer cleats and shin guards.
