FGCU hosts workshop at FMB Chamber office
Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center will host
a workshop next Tuesday at the Greater Fort Myers Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. The workshop is part of a series of such meetings and business continuity hurricane preparedness seminars in July at various locations throughout Southwest Florida for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
The chamber workshop is called “How to Reduce Business Costs Ways to Save in the Summer Months,” and will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on July 13.
The workshop is designed to teach business owners ways to save on expenses during the summer months.
“We all know what summer can be like for business owners especially now with the soft economy and other factors which come into play,” said Dan Regelski, executive director of the SBDC. “Our goal at the SBDC is to reach out to the business owners and provide them with the necessary tools and educational information that they can apply to their small businesses.”
The Chamber office is located at 17200 San Carlos Blvd on Fort Myers Beach. Cost to attend the workshop is $20. Seating is limited.
Registration can be completed online at www.sbdcseminars.org, or by calling the SBDC office at 745-3700. The Small Business Development Center provides free and confidential counseling to start up and second stage businesses, and is located in the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University.
