6 min read

On Friday, June 25, Combat Championship Wrestling and National Wrestling Alliance of Florida along with The MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION held a wrestling event at Bay Oaks Recreational Center called Fort Myers Beach Battle.

Here is a capsule look at the matches:

Evan Sky vs El Guapo

Announcer Skot Evol and MAKE A WISH Representatives kicked off the show with audience awareness on what CCW-NWA Florida & The MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION was planning that night and in the future. Former WWE Diva Champ Stacy The Kat Carter was The MAKE A WISH Guest Chef in the concession both slingin’ hotdogs and candy bars for charity.

Winner: Evan Sky

Otto Schwanz vs Shwan Gavin Spears

Schwanz’ size and insanity proved to be a challenge for the former WWE star Spears. Schwanz is a hulking 6 foot, 6 inches and an original WWE developmental talent starting his career against the Mean Street Posse in Memphis. But with skill and perseverance Spears (who has been compared to the Viper Randy Orton) scored the victory.

WINNER: Shawn Gavin Spears

HotShot Mike Reid & El Beasto Grande vs Kaotic Romeo & Dirty White Boy

Koatic Romeo and Dirty White Boy have made up their differences and worked together with tag-team precession to thwart the glitz and skull duggery of The HotShot combined with the high flying Lucha Libre skills of El Beasto Grande. The Dirty One delivered knuckle sandwiches & displayed a wrestling clinic on his opponents and Kaotic Romeo screamed through the air “Make A Wish!!!” as he delivered a corkscrew moonsalt to capture the victory.

WINNERS: Kaotic Romeo & Dirty White Boy

In-Ring Promo: Former WWE villain BamBam Neely

Neely showed his discust for Florida and his distain for kids as he slagged The Make A Wish people and fans. TNA super star was quick to enter the ring to shut up the 6-foot-7 bully and former body guard to Chavo Guerrerro. Before they could come to blows former FCW star/CCW Champion Marquis Youngston intervened to to tell both Neely and Neal that Youngston is the champ and that it was going to stay that way.

NWA Florida Title Defense: Bobby Sanford vs NWA Florida Champion The Sheik

Sanford danced with the Make A Wish kids and fans of all ages but when it came time to wrestle he brought his A-game. Every move the Sheik would make Sanford had a counter move. Finally out of frustration the whiley Sheik resorted to cunningly distracting the ref as he loaded his curly boot of destruction and kicked the brave and talented Sanford to steal the win and retain his NWA Florida title!

WINNER: The Sheik

Body Slam Challenge

The 623-pound Tweedle Die brutally attacked a fan that was trying to bodyslam him in the name of charity and would have gone way too far if the 7-foot-1 Worldz Giantest Midget Titan didn’t come to the rescue. After a grueling match between TiTAN and the Worldz largest Love Machine? Tweedle launched TiTan over the top ropes like a 394-lb frisbee and took too long hotdogging with the audience letting Titan have the time he needed to grab Tweedle off of the ring apron and body slamming him to the concrete to score the win!

WINNER: TiTAN

Intermission with TNA Star Jesse Neal, Bobby Sanford, Koatic Romeo & Dirty White Boy, Stacy The Kat Carter, CCW Champ

Shooterella & TNA Knockout Rosie LottaLove vs lil Leva & “Super Model” Amy Love

Shooterella with his gutless antics and reliance on Rosie strength and mean streak proved very useful until the Skunk Ape caged was accidentally opened during a ringside brawl between Leva and Rosie! The Skunk Ape took a large bite out of Rosie exposed posterior and lovely chased Lil Leva Around the ring not unlike George “The Animal” Steel and Miss Elizibeth years ago. Amy Love capitalized on the Skunk Ape’s attention and thoroughly beat the heck outta poor lil Shooterella.

WINNER: Lil Leva & Super Model Amy Love

Sinn Bodhi aka KiZARNY (Formerly of WWE Smackdown) vs Sgt. Jeremy Myers (with hometown hero Bay Oaks Little League Coach Charlie Whitehead)

Sarge was full of fire only to be overthrown by the Warlord of Weird! Sarge narrowly escaped having his face impaled into Sinn’s Bed-O-Nailz-Steel Chair. The chants of USA! USA! Helped the young soldier but accidentally knocked the ref cold during an attempted suplex again the Sarge fell victim to of his enemy! Sinn pulled out a 20-lb concrete block from under the ring and smashed it over the Sarge’s private parts (pardon the pun!) with a sledge hammer rendering him unconscious! Sinn pulled his victim into the center of the ring and dragged the half-lifeless ref over to count 1-2-3. Sinn, unsatisfied grabbed the sledge hammer to inflict more damage, however, thanks to coach Charlie Whitehead sliding into the ring and grabbing the hammer from Sinn in mid swing, Sinn quickly slithered out of the ring angry with the Coach’s bravery!

WINNER: SiNN Bodhi

MainEvent 3 Way Dance! BamBam Nealy vs Jesse Neal vs CCW Champion Marquis Youngston

At first it was unsure who Marquis would side with the hero Jesse Neal or the antagonist BamBam Nealy. Jesse wasted no time initiating war on both stars. BamBam (the man who had beaten up the likes on Kane during his time at WWE) would take great pleasure in turning the tide on both Jesse and Marquis. But Marquis proved to be a hero with a great dive onto the 6-7 villain BamBam to amaze the audience. Jesse pulled out all the stops to have both Marquis and BamBam down for the pin only to be robbed by the CCW Champ in a moment of opportunity. Jesse and Marquis shook hands like gentlemen at the end of the match and BamBam was not a happy camper. The fans of all ages screamed with excitement and applauded at a great night of pro wrestling and its charitable cause.

Special thanks to The MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION & Bay Oaks Recreational Center. CCW-NWA Florida returns to Fort Myers Beach Friday September 10, 2010. Please call Bay Oaks for show information at 765-4222.
