Beach school graduates fifth grade class

They’ll be moving on to a new school in a new community. You can call it leaving the nest, but with the essential beginning education they received, they’ll be fine and well prepared.
Beach Elementary School held its fifth grade graduation on the school’s relatively new stage in the school cafeteria during an end-of-the-year assembly on Monday, June 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thirty-six students were granted academic diplomas from the Grade “A” school.
Principal Larry Wood congratulated the eventual high school graduating Class of 2017 before aiding his teaching staff in announcing awards. He commended the school’s fifth grade teachers -Joy Rockwell and Jenny Fraley- after acknowledging the students are prepared for middle school.
“They are ready,” said Wood. “They are just a phenomenal group of people, and we’re very, very proud of them.”
