Mayor Larry Kiker signed the National Arbor Day Proclamation at April 5’s Town Council meeting. On Friday, April 30, National Arbor Day was celebrated at the Mound House with the Town andEstero Island Garden Club members distributing the purchased trees that the Town offered to its residents at half price. Ten Gumbo Limbos, seven Jatrophas, nine Orange Geigers and seventeen Crape Myrtles were sold for a total of 43 trees. Though the numbers were a little down, the trees supplied by All Native Garden Center were gorgeous.
