Another year finds a lot of people focused on careers, on the commute, on families. But every year, many unsung heroes give their lives to protect our way of life. From Marines and Soldiers, to Deputy Sheriffs and Police Officers – the sacrifice is absolute, but in the quest of something worth protecting.
We, the great United States, was built upon simple predicates of freedom, individual rights, and opportunity. None of which would be possible if someone, somewhere was not willing and able to take a stand against evil and tyranny.
As May 15th approaches – National Law Enforcement Officer’s Day, and May 31 – Memorial Day, I urge all to take a moment and reflect on the blessings we all have. If you see a cop, offer a word of thanks. If you see a Marine, Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Coast Guardsman, tell them you support them. Reflect on the sacrifices that those in uniform make so that we might enjoy our lives. To them, it’s worth dying for.
