SW Florida Mothers Against Drunk Driving Recognizes Local Law Enforcement
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is honored to recognize some of the members of our local law enforcement. Each year MADD recognizes those officers who have had 100 or more DUI arrests during the year.
The following Lee County Law Enforcement officers made over 100 DUI arrests for 2009.
Cape Coral Police Department: Officer James Carson & Officer Joe Cieslinski
Lee County Sheriffs Office: Corporal Leonard Gould, Deputy Glenn Jones & Deputy Robert Shaw.
MADD also recognized Cape Coral Police Departments Platoon 4 for their exceptional dedication also. Platoon 4 being one of the shifts at CCPD removed 524 impaired drivers from the city of Cape Coral’s roadways in 2009.
On behalf of SW Florida MADD and all victims of DUI, we would like to thank our local law enforcement for their dedication. We will never know how many lives are saved and injuries are prevented from taking the impaired drivers off our roads. One life that has been turned upside down as a result of someone making a bad decision to drive impaired is too many so their hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated.
