1 min read

For the fifth consecutive year, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has been recognized as the most productive Crime Stoppers program in the entire Southeastern United States.

Crime Stoppers Coordinator Trish Routte and Laura Connell, as well as the Board of Directors for the Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers program, have been awarded the 2009 Productivity Award by Southeastern Crime Stoppers. The award recognizes the arrests, cases cleared, as well as property and narcotics seized from Crime Stoppers tips.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers covers Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades, and Hendry counties and continues to generate record numbers of crime tips, solved cases, and captures.

The Crime Stoppers hotline is accessible 24 hours a day by calling 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous and are eligible for up to $1,000 in cash rewards. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers does not utilize Caller ID and never traces any calls.
