Lee Sheriff Fitness Challenge crowns winners

With inspirational team names like Wii Not Fit, Lock Jaws and Defeat Defat, nearly 100 employees with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are celebrating a collective weight loss of more than a half-ton. This marks the sixth year for the Annual Fitness Challenge, a 12-week weight loss competition designed to make winners of the agency’s biggest weight losers.

Forty nine females and 46 males lost a grand total of 1,377 pounds.

– The winning teams and weight loss totals are as follows:

1st place – Pigs in a Blanket – 108 pounds

2nd place – Financial Meltdown – 89 pounds

3rd place – Extreme Makeover – 86 pounds

1st place – Chris Reeves – 41 pounds

2nd place – Larry Montgomery – 40 pounds

3rd place – Mike Cahill – 39 pounds

Women

1st place – Evelyn Krzmarzick – 41 pounds

2nd place – Carol Follmer – 33 pounds

3rd place – Tracy Campbell – 32 pounds

The annual competition not only promotes weight loss but also a healthier life style for those who serve and protect the public.
