Fort Myers care unit offers nursing scholarships
For the third year, Bridgeport Home Health Care of Fort Myers is offering two nursing school scholarships of $1,000 each to be awarded in the following manner: one scholarship to non-employees of Bridgeport Home Health Care who are residents in the counties their offices serve (Collier and Lee counties); and one scholarship is available to current employees of Bridgeport Home Health Care. The scholarships are non-renewable (for one school year only).
The process/requirements to apply for consideration of The Bridgeport Home Health Care Nursing Excellence Scholarships are these:
1. You are currently a Home Health Aide/Nurse’s Aide or Licensed Practical Nurse who has worked for two of the past three years in either capacity and are a resident in one of the above named counties.
2. You are enrolling in LPN or RN school for the upcoming Fall school year of 2010 or 2011 and are not now currently in LPN or RN school.
3. You provide two written recommendations from current and past employers.
4. Completed application packet should be received by May 15, 2010.
