Town Council election: Get out and vote!
There is an important decision for Beach residents to make involving an election for two seats on the Fort Myers Beach Town Council Tuesday, March 9. Take a few minutes out of your busy schedule during the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. time frame allotted to cast your ballot and make your vote count.
This is your time. Beach residents should get out and vote for two out of the three candidates who you believe will be best suited to represent your views and principles. The plurality election features the top two vote-getters being elected without the need of a runoff.
Three sites will be taking your votes:
1. Precinct #49: Church of the Ascension at 6025 Estero Blvd.
2. Precinct #82: Chapel by the Sea at 100 Chapel St.
3. Precinct #81: St. Peter Lutheran Church at 3751 Estero Blvd.
Will it be Larry Kiker, the standing Beach mayor: Alan Mandel, the jack-of-all-trades Town committee member and current Local Planning Agency vice chair, or Joe Kosinski, who offers 30 years of engineer knowledge but no accumulated town government experience? Two of those three candidates will best exemplify your views.
The results will be posted on this Web site when they are received.
