Church holds food drive
The Vincent de Paul Society of the Church of the Ascension will be sponsoring our Food and Fund Drive to support our pantry at Chapel by the Sea on March 20 and 21.
During these difficult economic times, we are servicing more people on the Beach then ever before. We hope to collect enough food to supply the Food Pantry until November. We provide assistance with rent, utility bills, medical expenses and transportation with monetary donations.
Food and funds can be dropped off at Church of the Ascension at the Gazebo on Saturday between 3 and 4 p.m. and Sunday between 6:45 and 11 a.m. We particularly need cans of luncheon meat, corned beef, chicken, tuna fish, Vienna sausages, ham, beef stew, spaghetti and meatballs, fruit, breakfast bars and peanut butter and jelly. Please do not bring food that needs refrigeration.
