Bay Oaks Homerun Derby to benefit Relay for Life

On March 21, test your power swing against FMB’s top sluggers during Bay Oaks first annual Homerun Derby. The Derby will be held on the fields at Bay Oaks Recreation Campus. Each contestant will get 10 swings to hit as many home runs as they can. The top home run hitterswill move on to the elimination round and than the championship round. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. To enter the Derby, there is a minimum donation of $10, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Relay for Life which benefits the American Cancer Society. The winner will enjoy a prize pack courtesy of Hooters. To sign up or for more information contact Randy at 560-8989.

Bay Oaks brings back Annual Health Fair

Bay Oaks Annual Health Fair will be held on March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym. There will be professionals from many different health related fields. The event is free to anyone interested in attending. We are accepting vendors that are in any health-related fields. If you would like more information or are interested in being a part of the fair please call 765-4222.

Bay Oaks holds annual tennis tournament

Bay Oaks Recreation Campus will be hosting its 17th annual Tennis Tournament. The event will begin March 19, and will continue through March 21. This year there will be five different classifications: Men’s 3.5 Doubles; Men’s 3.0 Doubles; Mixed open; Women’s 3.5 Doubles; and Women’s 3.0 Doubles.

The tournaments will be held on the beautiful courts at Bay Oaks Recreation Campus. The cost to enter the event is $20 per team. If you need any additional information please call Ed Frazier at 765-4222.

Bay Oaks Spring Break Fun Days are ahead

Bay Oaks Recreational Campus will be hosting its annual BORC Fun Days in April. The Fun Days, which are for ages 6-13, will be running from April 1 to April 9. Cost is $13 per day per child. You will need to pre-register your child for the Fun Days. Space is limited to sign up early.

Activities for the Fund Days include: Beach days; Kayaking on the Back Bay; movies; crafts; games; and a whole lot of fun! Please call Ashley Schiavon at 765-4222 for more information.

Summer Camp at Bay Oaks

Warmer days are ahead. When you think summer, think of the Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Summer Camp. It will be running from June 21 through August 13.

If you have a child age 6-13 and are interested in this camp, contact BORC officials. The cost is $65 per week or $500 for the entire summer. Hours for the Summer camp will be 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please call 765-4222 in order to pre-register your child for camp.
