Voices for Kids presents 2010 Humanitarian Award
Voices for Kids, a non-profit organization supporting the guardian ad litem program of the 20th Judicial circuit, is sponsoring the 2010 Humanitarian Award honoring Janet Forrer. The event will be held at Harborside Event Center on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m.
Forrer is an active member of many organizations and sits on many boards.
The Humanitarian Award is given to one who exemplifies the spirit of giving, helping others and caring for the community. Forrer is well known for her volunteerism, fund raising and philanthropy in the many organizations in which she freely gives her time and talents. She has an innate ability to inspire other to follow her lead.
State Rep District 73 Nick Thompson, who has made child protection a cornerstone of his legislative efforts, will host. Tickets are $50 per person/$1000 Table Sponsor and can be obtained by calling Monica Monahan at 533-1434.
