The Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization voted unanimously to support the painting of Matanzas Pass Bridge on Fort Myers Beach sometime this spring or summer according to a news report which was announced at the annual Chamber Gala at Pink Shell Resort.

FMB Councilman Bob Raymond, the recently elected 2010 vice chairman of Lee MPO, made the motion for the action Friday and was seconded by Lee County Commissioner and MPO Chairman Ray Judah. The bridge is expected to be painted a lighter shade of blue by the Florida Department of Transportation.
