Garden club plants in memorial garden
Members of the Estero Island Garden Club planted bromeliads of all sizes and colors in preparation for the dedication of the Ann Reasoner Memorial Garden on the campus of the Bay Oaks Recreation Center.
Peter Webb, a local bromeliad expert, designed and supervised the planting of the garden. Ann Reasoner was an enthusiastic and loyal member of longstanding in the Estero Island Garden Club. The Buzz Reasoner Family donated money for the garden as a tribute to Ann and her love of gardening.
Garden Club members have placed a bench commemorating Ann among the plantings. The Ann Reasoner Memorial Garden will be dedicated on Jan. 25, with the Reasoner family in attendance. Speakers at the ceremony will be Garden Club President Laura Jibbens; FMB Councilman Tom Babcock; and Garden Committee Chairman Marianne Worden.
The dedication is open to the public, and friends of Ann Reasoner are especially invited to attend. The ceremony will be on Monday, Jan. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bay Oaks Recreation Center.
