Church holds community lecture series
Covenant Presbyterian Church at 2439 McGregor Boulevard will host the ninth annual Wednesday Morning Live! Community Lecture Series- 2010 “Really Living” which begins Wednesday, Jan. 6, and continues each Wednesday for eight weeks.
All speakers are Fort Myers-area residents and will inform audiences with their firsthand experiences of important, interesting and entertaining topics in our community.
The one-hour lectures begin at 10 a.m. preceded by coffee and snacks at 9:30. All events are free and open to the public.
The series topics and speakers are as follows:
– Jan. 6 – The Theology of Dance – Rev. Dan Hagmaier, SXenior Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church
– Jan. 13 – Eastern Ethics – Dr. Russell Swanson, Professor of Philosophy, Edison State College
– Jan. 20 – Our Florida Treasures – Rae Ann Wessel, Natural Resource Policy Director, Sanibel- Captiva Conservation Foundation
– Jan. 27 – All The News That’s Fit To Tell – Russ Kilgore, News Director, WINK-TV
– Feb. 3 – Music There Shall Be – Mary Mozelle, Director of Music and Organist, Covenant Presbyterian Church
n Feb. 10 – A Life of Riches – Rev. James A. Bing, Pastor, Friendship Baptist Church
– Feb. 17 – A Conversation with An Icon – Berne Davis, Community Leader and Philanthropist
– Feb. 24 – Are We Healthy Yet? – Sally Jackson, Systems Director, Community Projects, Lee Memorial Health System
