St. Raphael’s hosts movie nights
Saint Raphael’s Episcopal Church will host Movie Nights in Advent in the sanctuary with a brand new audio/visual system. The movie nights will be on the following Tuesdays beginning Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. After each movie there will be time set aside to discuss the film’s spiritual lessons. – Dec. 1 Amazing Grace; The inspiring story of William Wilberforce
who used his position in Parliament to end the British slave trade through the encouragement of John Newton, a reformed slave captain, who wrote the hymn “Amazing Grace”.
– Dec. 8 Horton Hears a Who; A delightful film for children of all
ages. Join us for an evening of laughter with Dr. Seuss’ endearing creatures in this beloved classic.
– Dec. 15 The Nativity Story; A journey in faith, beginning with a young woman’s obedience to God and ending with the birth of Christ.
