FMB Art Association show reception this Sunday

Carrie Burns Brown, NWS has judged the fine fall show hanging at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association gallery. Prizes will be awarded on Sunday, Dec. 6 during the reception from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is welcome during the reception and at any time during these last days of the show during our regular gallery hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. On Dec. 10 the show will be critiqued then taken down to make room for the Art Divine Holiday sale that opens on Dec. 12.
During “Art Divine,” members will have original art for sale at $99 and under. There will be a variety of pieces both framed and unframed. This is a wonderful way to purchase original art for exceptional prices. Once again the members are donating small works for the “Mini Master” sale of matted art for only $10. Profits from the minis help to fund the many projects of the art associaton throughout the year. Sale extends to Jan. 21.
John Salminen, NWS,AWS,TWSA,WW, will be teaching at the Beach art gallery on Jan. 25-29. This famous artist will share his approach to painting urban scenes in watercolor. Karlyn Holman will be teaching her “Watercolor Fun and Free” workshop in March. See the website at www.fortmyersbeachart.com for more information.
