‘Tis the season for the Fort Myers Beach Pilot Club, a non-profit organization which gave and received during the holiday season.

— Giving.

The Fort Myers Beach Pilot Club recently participated in the Annual Spirit of the Holiday’s Bench Press Contest held at 24/7 Fitness club benefiting the San Carlos Park Elementary School. This is the third year owner Bryan Raymond has held the event. Contestants were asked for an entry fee of $10 and/or a new unwrapped toy. This year he offered a free personal training session for anyone contributing a bike. He received 40 bikes. The Pilot Club donated a helmet for each bike received.

On the receiving end, the Pilot Club Foundation of Fort Myers Beach received an award of $500 from Wachovia Bank. Annually, Wachovia a Wells Fargo company, supports nonprofit organizations that work to strengthen our communities. Through corporate and foundation grants, they give back to non-profit organizations that address vital community needs and issues, including community development, education, human services and cultural/civic projects.
