Town conducts ground-breaking event
Ground will be broken on, Thursday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m. at the North Estero Boulevard construction field site located at the intersection of Lagoon Street and North Estero Boulevard.
The project consists of many components with a primary emphasis on correcting the chronic flooding of the roadway and properties along the corridor. The rehabilitation project will include stormwater treatment facilities, new potable water distribution lines, sidewalks, bike shoulder, and streetscaping elements. The Town anticipates using North Estero Boulevard as the template as we partner with Lee County for the reconstruction of the remainder of Estero Boulevard.
The ceremony will be hosted by Mayor Larry Kiker. Town Council members, past Town Mayors and members of the Lee County Commission will be in attendance along with the Town’s contractor Southwest Utility Systems, Inc. and project engineers.
