Sandsculpting has hit the beach
It’s officially day two of the 2009 Fort Myers Beach Sandsculpting Festival. Vendors are popping up left and right, offering patrons a vast selection of goods, services and fare from all around the country.
Things are still relatively quiet on the site while Cabana Eddie continues to create sand mounds for the sculptors (eight behind Gull Wing, eight behind the Holiday Inn and 20 smaller amateur plots throughout), as well as the massive 20-foot-wide-by-40-foot-long-by-12-feet-high group carve site.
Actual carving should begin Thursday, with festivities going into the weekend.
