Pool truck spill creates traffic jam update #1
According to the local Florida Highway Patrol, one lane of traffic has been open and the cleanup continues after an apparent accident involving a swimming pool supplies truck at roughly 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, dumped chemicals onto San Carlos Boulevard by Siesta Isles.
The accident created quite a traffic jam for those leaving Fort Myers Beach. Reports say even the sidewalk has been cut off to to the spill.
Traffic, which has barely budged during the course of an 1 1/2 hours, is slowly moving..
There is no report on when the traffic situation will be fully cleared.
