Pets of the week 11/18/09
Our shelter hours have changed. Animal viewing hours for claiming or adopting pets will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The shelter is open for other business (incoming stray animals, pet license sales, etc.) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
For information about this week’s pets, call 533-7387 (LEE-PETS) or log on to Animal Services’ website at www.LeeLostPets.com. When calling, please refer to the animal’s ID number. The website updates every hour so you will be able to see if these or any other pets are still available.
The shelter is open for adoptions from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, off Six Mile Cypress Pkwy.
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccination & county license if three months or older, flea treatment, worming, heartworm test for dogs six months & over, feline aids & leukemia test for cats, training DVD, 10 day health guarantee, and a bag of Science Diet pet food.
The adoption package is valued at $500. During the November to Remember Adoption Special from November 1st through November 30th adopters will receive $25 off all adoptions when they donate an item from the Shelter’s Wish List. All active and retired military personnel may receive a free pet adoption during November in Honor of Veterans Day.
Pet Bio
Name: Bill
ID #: 457503
Breed: Hound Mix
Sex: Male
Age: One Year Old
Color: Tan
Comments: I was found hanging out at the tennis courts in Lehigh. I am a shy boy and need some love and tenderness. A quiet home would best for me so I can gain some confidence. I am very sweet and lovable but the tennis courts just weren’t the place for me to find my perfect love match. Please come visit me to see if we are made for each other.
Adoption Fee: $75 receive at $25 discount off the regular adoption fee during November when you donate an item from the shelter’s Wish List. During November active and retired military veterans are eligible for a free adoption! I would be honored to be loved by a vet!
Name: Spot
ID #: 459106
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Sex: Male
Age: Nine Months Old
Color: White and Black
Comments: I have two spots on my back, one on the top of my head, and my nose is a black spot. Otherwise, you could just say I’m a white cat. The staff at Animal Services thinks my beautiful gold eyes are one of my best features next to my loving personality. I’m mellow and enjoy being petted and having my head scratched. I’m looking for a life-long companion so if you are looking for the same we could be perfect together.
Adoption Fee: $50 or just $25 if you donate an item from the shelter’s Wish List during November. If you are a military veteran my adoption fee is free.
