Patters Obit
Phyllis N. Patters passed away on 10/28/09 in Asheville, NC after being diagnosed with lung cancer in January. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio on 8/8/25 and lived on Fort Myers Beach from 1963 until 2005. She lived her life to the fullest and had a smile for everyone even during her final few days.
Phyllis was very involved in local theater, dancing and modeling both in Ohio and in Florida. Many can remember that in the 1989 she and her friend Adelle Litchfield opened The Alley Cat Cafe at Villa Santini Plaza. She leaves behind her daughter P. Lynn Patters of Asheville, NC. She spent her last few years there enjoying Asheville and developing an even closer relationship with her daughter. She was an incredibly open and loving person. Although her only family member she leaves behind is her daughter, she will be missed by many. A small memorial “party” will be held in Asheville at her request.
