Members of local art group shows work

From now until Nov. 12, the members of the beach art association will be showing their work during regular gallery hours. The first judged show of the 2009/2010 season opens on Nov. 14 through Dec. 10, at the Donora Street Gallery of the Fort Myers Beach Art Association.

The showing will be open for viewing during regular gallery hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Carrie Burns Brown, NWS, will be judging the show on Nov. 29 prior to her demonstration of collage techniques at 4 p.m. This demo will be open to the public and costs only $10 to attend. Brown will be conducting a workshop the following week on her watermedia collage techniques. More information on the workshop can be found on the website at www.fortmyersbeachart.com.

Member artists will be teaching pastel, experimental techniques, oil , watercolor, PMC jewelry during the season. More Famous Artist workshops will be held in January with John Salminen and March with Karlyn Holman. See the website for details on these and more or call 463-3909.
