The 23rd American Sand Sculpting Championship Festival is well underway on Saturday. Many attendees witnessed views from either over the fence or within the paid admission viewpoint ($3 child/ senior; $5 adult; $10 family). The SandVendor Village was hopping as many vendor merchants were selling their merchandise.

Some of the scupltures are showing great progress as many of the Master Sculptures will continue tomorrow and carve away until the 1 p.m. deadline. A good part of each sculpture is expected to be completed today, while base work and finer detailing is expected tomorrow – the last day of the festival.

Another breaking news report will be available after the judges award the winners at 6 p.m. Sunday.
