Beach Chamber holds Holiday Boat Parade
Once again, the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Holiday Boat Parade. This year’s annual event will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. at Pink Shell Resort and Spa. The lead boat of VIPs, including Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, is being provided by Estero Bay Express. The route will proceed around Matanzas Bay and through the canals of Siesta Isles and will finish with an awards ceremony at the upper deck at Matanzas Inn.
Trophies will be awarded for best decorations in first, second, and third place in three categories; powerboats less than 26′ in length, powerboats more than 26′ in length, and sail boats. This year’s event will also include a Peoples’ Choice award.
