Privy Pirates storm the beach during annual festival

The fourth annual Pirate Festival sailed into the harbor of Fort Myers Beach this weekend, with hundreds of friendly pirates visiting from near and far. Festival guests got to see a live black-powder demonstration, as well as a ship-to-shore-battle, belly dancing and swashbuckling sword fights while enjoying authentic food, plenty of live music and a stroll through trinkets and treasures for sale.
Next year’s festival is scheduled for October 2010.
