The first order of business after the election on Oct. 20, was the naming of a Class Manager (Morgan Beres) and a Class Attorney (Steven James). The Council members met with all of their constituents following the election, to identify topics for the agenda that will be discussed at the Tuesday meeting. The entire Fort Myers Beach Town Council attended the meeting to assist their newly elected junior counterparts.

Discussed topics included: physical education equipment improvements related to tether ball, kickball and football; food issues in the cafeteria; creation of “green” policies in the fifth grade classrooms; possible creation of a Beach Elementary School swim team; re-institution of the Dolphin Store; and discussion of possible additional Advanced Reading time.;
