BORC to host Kids Kayaking Clinic
To help kick off the Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival, Bay Oaks Recreation Campus will be hosting a free kids kayaking clinic on Friday Oct. 23.
Kids will be able to learn the fine art of kayaking as instructors will show them the skills needed to be expert paddlers. The kids will get a chance to get in the pool and experience kayaking first hand. The clinic will be held at the Fort Myers Beach Community Pool from 5 to 8 p.m.
There will be three one-hour sessions: the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. sessions will be for ages 7-12; and the 7 p.m. session will be for ages 13-16. Family members will be able to cheer on their little kayakers and are encouraged to stay and watch. There will also be family fun activities in the Bay Oaks Recreation Center during the entire event.
