Vaccine Clinic at First Presbyterian Church
On Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Visiting Nurses Association will offer a vaccine clinic at First Presbyterian Church at 9751 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs. Flu and pneumonia shots will be available as well as the Shingles vaccine.
The flu shot costs $30; the pneumonia vaccine is $45. Medicare covers the cost in advance for the flu and pneumonia shots, but you must show your Medicare card. The Shingles vaccine costs $235, which must be paid for at the time of the clinic by check, cash or credit card. The VNA will provide a receipt for submission to your insurance company. Medicare is not reimbursing for the Shingles vaccine.
On Oct. 15, another VNA vaccine clinic will be held for flu and pneumonia shots only, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs (phone: 239-992-3233). The VNA may be reached at 239-337-4848.
