Beach firefighters show low confidence towards chief

Fort Myers Beach fire fighters are unhappy with Chief Mike Becker.

According to news reports, 70 percent of Fort Myers Beach fire fighters have signed a ‘no confidence’ petition against their chief.

There has been an allegation against Becker of mis-managing the department and an accusation of misconduct.

Becker responded with a letter stating the allegations are untrue and unjustified.

The Beach Fire District is currently involved with its yearly budget process.
