Fort Myers Power Squadron report
America’s #1 Boating Club announced the start of boating classes and its adventures.
On Aug 2, seven boats left home ports and set their courses for Captiva Island and the beautiful resort of Tween Waters for four days. We were joined by two more boats the following day. The lovely first mates brought food for a fun dock party the first night. The next day was spent on the beach, in the pool, at the tiki hut and a group dinner at the old captiva house. The third day was more fun and games and beautiful weather on the island and eating at the tiki hut. The fourth day was time to say our goodbyes and head for home ports and promise to meet on the water again next month.
Now for a heads up from the education dept. The ABC boating class ( boat smart ) will start on Sept. 8 and be held every following Tuesday of the month. The November classes will be consolidated into one day-Nov. 21 from 0800 to 1600. Make sure to mark your calendars.
These classes are free and offered to the public.
Next months cruise and rendezvous is already planned and promises to be a lot of fun.
