Fish-Tale Marina will celebrate National Marina Day
As part of a nationwide observance, Fish-Tale Marina is celebrating National Marina Day on Saturday, August 8. Activities will take place at the marina’s Ship’s Store behind Santini Marina Plaza on 7225 Estero Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“National Marina Day is an annual celebration of the important role marinas play in waterfront communities all across America,” said Fish Tale Owner Al Durrett. “Each day, this country’s marinas serve as safe, family-friendly gateways to boating and stewards of the environment. We hope you will visit Fish-Tale Marina, learn about your communities’ marina and enjoy the events we have planned.”
Fish-Tale Marina’s National Marina Day activities include:
– *Children Coloring Contest $100 Grand prize
– *Children’s Activities
– *Raffles
– *Free Hot Dogs and Drinks from 11 to 2 p.m.
– *Ostego Bay Foundation, Inc. will be present with their touch tank.
– *Marina Open House

National Marina Day is celebrated in conjunction with the Association of Marina Industries, the national trade association of the marina industry.
Children Coloring Contest entry information:
– – Contest open to children ages 12 and under; void where prohibited.
– – One (1) entry per person
– – To enter, color the Picture however you like, and return your entry to Fish-Tale Marina for judging by August 8th.
– – Be sure to include child’s name, age, phone number, and e-mail address so that winners may be notified.
Judging:
– – Entries will be judged on National Marina Day August 8th 2009 and prizes will be awarded.
– – Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity.
– – Prizes will be awarded in 3 age categories: ages 4 and under, ages 5-8, and ages 9-12.
Winners:
– – You need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by phone.
– – Each winner will win $100.
