On Saturday, August 1, a great friend of Fort Myers Beach passed away. For those of you who had the pleasure to know her, will know that her larger than life smile will be missed, her outlook to life will be missed and, of course, her laughter will be missed most of all.
Linda & Dale moved to Fort Myers Beach in 2001 from Milwaukee, Wisc. to become permanent residents of the community.
Survived by her husband Dale of 33 years and many family members, including her parents: Norm & Sandy Gertz, Fort Myers Beach; sister, Catherine Broadus, married to Jeff with their daughter Ashleigh, Orlando; sister, Lisa Gertz, Shelbyville, Ky.; brother, Tom Gertz, Hampstead, N.C. and his children, Samatha and Garrett; and brother, Tim, married to Ann Marie and their two children Gavin & Alexandra, Stillwater, Okla.; and Grandmother, Dorothy Kraus, Fort Myers. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday August 7 at Junkanoo on the Beach (upstairs private room), 3040 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931.
