Town gives County provisions for Bay Oaks acquisition

1 min read

In an email sent to his Town Council, Fort Myers Beach interim Town Manager Jack Green gave the provisions from Monday’s negotiations meeting with Lee County officials over the upcoming transition for Bay Oaks Recreational Campus. Green said he felt the meeting went very well with the County.

The result of the meeting is subject to BOCC approval:

– Roof to be replaced and structural members repaired at County cost

– $160,000 for capital reserve (decreased if items on the Town’s Ad Hoc Committee’s reserve list are addressed with the exception of the roof which will be addressed separately)

– $150,000 in transition funding.
