Beach Lions elect new officers
The Fort Myers Beach Lions Club recently installed its 2009-2010 officers and directors at the annual Installation dinner at Charley’s Boat House on Fort Myers Beach. Installation was performed by the District Governor.
The presidential gavel and Lions Heritage Clock was passed from Ted Clifton to the new president, Lion Patsy Dorsey. This is the 55th annual installation of officers for the Beach Lions. Projects run by the club raised about $60,000 which support local Lions donations of local scholarships; scores of eyesight cases; training of and placement of guide and assistance dogs for the blind and hearing impaired; little league; large print and braille book donations for the library; camper ships and maintenance at the Florida Lions Camp, Florida Eye Bank, and many more Local Lions Charities.
