Beach crosswalks – yield to traffic

1 min read

Florida law requires motor vehicle operators to yield to pedestrian traffic in marked crosswalks.

This does not relieve pedestrians from a certain amount of responsibility for their own safety.

Before stepping out into traffic, pedestrians should ensure that the oncoming driver has seen them and is, in fact, stopping.

On the Beach, frequent crosswalks are provided for pedestrians to cross over Estero Boulevard.
