Drivers heads up: Last day of Lee Co. Spring Break hopes to bring in record numbers

This year’s Spring Break season has been seemingly slow compared to others from years past. But with this last week being dedicated to our very own Lee County school kids’ five days off, record numbers have been teeming in to catch some sand and fun from mini-vans full of families to mini-cars full of just good friends.
Today’s Beach traffic is expected to be the busiest yet, especially with beautiful skies in the forecast and just a 30 percent chance of rain.
If driving to and/or from the beach today, be prepared to give yourself an extra 30 to 45 minutes or so.
